Book before the ceremony dates are announced
Every family in the valley is competing for the same two weekends in June. Wenatchee High School, Eastmont, Cashmere, Quincy and Wenatchee Valley College all graduate within days of each other.
Families who lock a room in February and March get the Saturday they want. Everyone else ends up hosting on a Tuesday or in their driveway.
Open house beats a sit-down dinner
Grad parties have guests of every age arriving whenever they can. A three-to-four hour open house with food out the whole time means nobody has to be there at a specific minute.
Set the room in stations: food on one wall, desserts on another, photo wall by the entrance, and the card and gift table right where people walk in.
The photo wall is the whole party
Print twelve to twenty photos from kindergarten through senior year and hang them on a line, or run a slideshow on the projector. It is the cheapest decor in the room and it is where everyone gathers.
A marquee number or letters and their school colors in balloons finishes the look.
What it costs
A four-hour Saturday grad party at Host Wenatchee runs in the $405 to $495 range for the room, with tables, 70 chairs and lighting included. Add the photo booth for $150 if you want guests taking pictures with the graduate all night.
Quick answers
When should I book a graduation party venue in Wenatchee?
February or March. June graduation weekends are the busiest dates of the year in the Wenatchee Valley and book several months out.
How long should a graduation open house last?
Three to four hours works best so friends and family can stop by between multiple parties on the same day.
