The Wenatchee wedding venue checklist

Twelve questions worth asking before you sign anything — and what the honest answers look like in downtown Wenatchee.

Start with guest count, not with photos

Almost every venue decision downstream comes from one number: how many people are actually coming. Build your list before you tour anywhere, then add ten percent for the cousins you forgot.

Host Wenatchee seats 70 guests at eight round tables with 70 chairs included. That is the sweet spot for a downtown Wenatchee wedding — big enough for both families, small enough that you get to talk to everyone.

The twelve questions to ask on every tour

Bring this list on your phone. If a venue hesitates on more than two of these, keep looking.

  • How many guests seated, and are tables and chairs included?
  • What hours does the rental actually cover — does setup and cleanup count against my time?
  • Can I bring my own caterer, or is there an approved list?
  • Is alcohol allowed, and what are the bartending and insurance requirements?
  • Is there a damage or cleaning deposit, and when is it collected?
  • What is the deposit to hold the date, and is it refundable?
  • Who sets up and tears down the tables and chairs?
  • Is there elevator access for older guests and for load-in?
  • Where do 70 guests park?
  • What decor is already in the room that I do not have to buy?
  • What time do we have to be out, and is there a noise cutoff?
  • Can I get a written quote and contract before I commit?

Budget the whole day, not just the room

The rental fee is usually 20 to 30 percent of a small wedding budget. Catering, photography, florals, cake and attire fill in the rest. Rentals at Host Wenatchee start at $135 per hour on weekdays, with Saturdays running $405 to $495 hourly, the Evening package at $735, Extended Day at $955 and Full Day at $1,250.

Because tables, chairs and the string-light ceiling come with the room, most couples save several hundred dollars they would otherwise spend on rental delivery.

Give yourself a timeline

For a downtown wedding of this size, twelve to nine months out is comfortable, and six months is doable. Saturdays in June through September and December book first.

Once your date is held, the rest of the vendor list gets easier — photographers and caterers all ask for the venue first.
